I've created this website because I don't live near a dharma center so the main way I am learning is books, videos, audio clips and exchange with other practicioners. On this site I publish a list of the resources I find useful mainly for my own reference and I check them for authenticity as good as I can but I am only a layperson so take everything I share with a grain of salt. For your practice it is important that you connect with an authentic teacher, listen to dharma talks and go on retreats.

The Buddha was a human being who had a deep insight into the nature of our discomfort and the nature of the universe.

Buddhism is a path that helps us recognize our own suffering and a way out of the suffering.

An important aspect of the practice is direct experience and you are encouraged to experience and investigate much like the scientific method.

You don't have to be a buddhist to profit from the Dharma and practices.

Open Dharma is a curated list of free and open resources. It contains free books, lectures, courses, videos and articles and is open source so everyone can contribute.
